We Work India’s Berger Delhi One Becomes Singapore-based EdTech HQ

Singapore-based EdTech Cialfo announced that We Work India’s Berger Delhi One in Noida (UP) will be its Indian headquarters, effective 1 August, 2022. The move is part of a plan to strategically grow operations and invest US$20 million in the market over the next five years. With close to 250 employees worldwide, ~90 of  whom work from major metros and tier 2 cities in India already, the company aims to have  more than 250 staff based here by the end of 2023 to drive its mission with speed and at  scale.

In line with the hybrid way of working it has adopted since the company’s inception in 2017, the partnership with WeWork will afford the team maximum flexibility as it continues to grow, allowing people to work from WeWork offices across the country. In addition to India and Singapore, Cialfo has local offices in the United States, and China. Dozens of Cialfolk currently work entirely remotely from 10 other locations worldwide.

Co-founded by Indian Rohan Pasari, CEO, Singaporean Stanley Chia, COO and Australian William Hund, CPO, Cialfo is an award-winning, global digital transformation leader in higher education and international student mobility. In India, the team’s aim is to help over 65 million high school students in 100+ cities - including smaller towns beyond the major metropolitan areas - to find and enrol in the very best undergraduate programs available to them based on their academic potential, learning style and career aspirations.

Commenting on the office opening, Rohan said: “Expanding our presence in India means so much - to me personally, as well as to the higher ed ecosystem worldwide. By scaling the team with top local engineering and other talent, we really have an opportunity to leapfrog the sector and make a massive impact - to students, schools and society at large.  Opening this office at WeWork India - a brand that shares our innovative spirit and which fundamentally shaped the future of work - inspires us to become an equally influential player in our own way.”

Commenting on the partnership, Raghuvinder Singh Pathania, Head of Community and Operations, WeWork India said, “We are thrilled to offer our workspace to a renowned, global edtech company like Cialfo. Noida is an innovative urban planning hub, and home to several global software development leaders which makes it an ideal location for an international company to mark its foray into the Indian market. Companies like Cialfo can deeply benefit from our wide range of customised solutions that cater to the evolving demands of today's modern workforce and deliver a seamless member experience by opting from our flexible workspaces. At WeWork India we are committed to offering innovative services, and our association with a pioneer like Cialfo is resonant of our vision to make a significant impact in the Indian ecosystem.”
