Vantrock has appointed Yash Gupta to its independent, board-appointed Investment Committee, bringing extensive experience in institutional investment, real estate development and asset management to the firm.
Gupta built Hines India from its inception in 2006 and served as its Country Head until 2017. During his tenure, he raised more than USD 800 million in institutional capital and oversaw the development of over 6 million sq ft of office and residential real estate.
In 2018, Gupta founded YGR, which currently manages approximately USD 300 million in assets. Before his career in real estate, he spent five years at McKinsey & Company. He also teaches real estate at Ashoka University.
His appointment strengthens Vantrock’s Investment Committee with experience spanning institutional capital, property development and investment management. The committee’s independent, board-appointed structure underscores its role in evaluating investment opportunities and ensuring that each asset meets the firm’s investment criteria.
