As per Ar. Akshay Selukar, “This project seamlessly blends historical artistry with modern minimalism, creating a culturally rich and architecturally refined residence. Vibrant artwork inspired by Islamic motifs is thoughtfully placed throughout the residence, infusing cultural richness into the minimalist concrete backdrop.”
The residence with up built-up area -5000 sqft embraces exposed concrete as a defining material, showcasing its raw elegance and structural integrity. The design engraved ceiling patterns in exposed concrete add depth and refinement, while thoughtfully placed perforations and geometric motifs create a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, enhancing the spatial experience.
Emphasizing vertical space planning and open layouts, the residence is designed to maximize spatial fluidity and natural connectivity across floors. Each level serves a distinct purpose while maintaining a cohesive architectural language.
The ground floor features a drawing room, a large open area that fosters interaction, and dedicated servant quarters. The first floor houses the kitchen, dining area, living space, and a dedicated namaz room, two bedrooms, and a spacious balcony, seamlessly blending functionality with comfort. On the second floor, two additional bedrooms, a laundry room, and a double-height area enhance openness, while a small terrace provides a private outdoor retreat. The third floor is crowned with an expansive terrace, a versatile living room that transforms into a private theater, and a storage room, ensuring both leisure and practicality.
A dedicated namaz room, framed by sleek arches, offers a serene retreat for spiritual reflection. Expansive terraces and meticulously designed balconies on every floor dissolve the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, inviting natural elements into the home. The living room features a striking double-height design, amplifying openness and grandeur while allowing natural light to flood through generous openings, elevating the ambiance.
The living room, positioned at the highest point of the residence, extends seamlessly onto the terrace, establishing a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor environments. A raffia grass ceiling installation introduces organic texture, while a bold macramé wall art in shades of orange provides a striking contrast against the raw concrete. Versatile in design, this space seamlessly converts into a private theater.
