A stunning blend of history, spirituality, and design has emerged as a tribute to India's incredible spiritual and cultural diversity in a new project spread across 10,900 sq. ft. This striking installation, featuring a colossal 1,050 sq.m. physical map of Akhand Bharat, is based on the revered concept of Ekatmata Stotra and aims to celebrate the unity and timeless beauty of India's heritage.
The "Unity Hymn" by Hedgevar and Golwalkar Guruji celebrates the diverse culture of "Akhand Bharat" and honours the Rishis, Chiranjeevi, and key figures who upheld its unity.
The "Bahuratna Vasundhara" project at the Gujarat University campus aims to showcase and celebrate this Stotra with pride and honour, aiming that the masses will be enlightened and inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Bharat. The "Unity Hymn" forms the soul of the project by translating into an open Gallery - a physical map of Akhand Bharat installation that will showcase the great mountains, rivers, forests, Vishwavidyalayas, Mokshadayini Nagaris of Bharat. It will also showcase 51 shaktipeeths, 12 jyotirlings, Chardham in Bharat in form of miniatures. The amphitheatre in this installation will help the visitors experience the audio-visual show narrating the greatness of Akhand Bharat with augmented reality and visualisation.
Visitors can enjoy a unique journey through this space, walking along ramps that offer panoramic views of the central map, encircled by a lotus-shaped water body symbolising the three oceans and the Anuradha Nakshatra. As they enter, they are greeted by a vibrant local bazaar, a bustling atmosphere filled with traditional food kiosks, creating a sensory introduction to the journey ahead.
The galleries around this installation are Circular, symbolising the motion of sound waves generated from Akhand Bharat. These will showcase digital depictions and installations of the rich Hindu Mythology, Chiranjeevi, Sapta Rishis, Vishnu Avatars, Char Vedas, Epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata, Great Saints and Kavis of Bharat who have glorified Unity and strived to maintain the sovereignty of Akhand Bharat. These galleries will offer a 360-degree view of the installation of Akhand Bharat.
Along the route, visitors will also encounter souvenir shops, exhibition zones, and amphitheatres, each space designed to bring India's rich heritage to life. This installation's thoughtful design and symbolic significance promise to be a landmark that celebrates unity and cultural pride for generations to come.
This project enhances Gujarat University's cultural landscape and provides a valuable educational and inspirational experience for all visitors. It is hoped that by translating the essence of the "Unity Hymn" into a concrete and attractive format, the diverse traditions that make up India's soul will be honoured and preserved.
