The biggest lessons in leadership are rarely learnt in corner offices. More often, they are earned in uncertain markets, difficult negotiations and moments when there is no one to turn to for answers. For Ankit Aditya Pradhan, those lessons came while working on the ground with small developers and local brokers, long before he led one of India's growing real estate advisory firms. Closing his first independent deal became the moment that reshaped his outlook. "Trust is the real currency in this business, not capital," he says, a beliefthat continues to define Realty Assistant's client-first philosophy. That experience also transformed the way he thinks about leadership. Earlier, Pradhan believed growth depended on doing more himself. Today, he believes lasting scale comes from building teams united by shared values and a common vision. "Scale comes from buildinga team that shares your values and vision," he says. As India's real estate story expands beyond its largest metropolitan markets, Pradhan sees the next wave of opportunity emerging in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where investment potential is growing rapidly. At the same time, he believes the industry is underestimating the pace at which buyer Realty expectations are changing. Gen Z investors demand transparency, speed and seamless digital experiences, leaving little room for outdated practices.
