For Reshmi Panicker, leadership - has never been about breaking barriers with grand declarations. It has been about quietly balancing the many roles that women are expected to play while continuing to deliver results. Looking back on her journey, she believes one ofthe greatest challenges has been doing justice to every responsibility, both personal and professional, without compromising on either. A strong support system at home, she says, has made that possible. Reshmi observes that many women are conditioned to let their work speak for itself. While merit is essential, she believes women must also learn to advocate for themselves and claim the opportunities they deserve.
Challenges, she says, have always been approached as problems to be solved rather than obstacles to fear. "Women should not wait to be invited to the table. We must step forward and claim our place under the sun, while staying true to our beliefs and convictions," she says. While she acknowledges that perceptions around women leaders are evolving, Reshmi notes that women often continue to work harder to earn the same recognition. Yet she remains optimistic that as more women bring their unique perspectives to leadership roles, boardrooms and businesses alike will become strongerand more inclusive.
