Three decades in finance have taught Hina Kamra one lesson above all else: every business decision has a cost, and every risk demands accountability. From navigating the pressures of real estate finance and treasury sales to helping build a fast-growing wealth management platform, her career has been defined by disciplined decision-making rather than easy wins. The first 27 years of her career taught her that leadership begins with ownership. Every decision carried financial consequences, and success depended on balancing ambitious growth with disciplined risk management. Those lessons continue to guide her today as she helps build a high-growth wealth platform from the Chairman's Office.
Having worked across industries, Kamra believes opportunities for women have expanded, but the journey to the top remains uneven. While sectors like banking have seen greater representation, women continue to be underrepresented in investment, capital markets and real estate finance leadership. She also believes women bring an important perspective to boardrooms by asking difficult questions before taking bold bets. Rather than focusing only on growth, they often test resilience, governance and long-term sustainability. "Leadership is about making decisions with incomplete information, but always understanding the downside before chasing the upside. Sustainable businesses are built through capital discipline, sound judgment and institutionsthat outlast individuals," she says
