Presented by Havells the ‘Spotlight’ series organized by Realty+ Masterclass, latest episode had seasoned design professional and a specialist in industrial design architect Swaviman Das, Design Director, India, Space Matrix share his views and opinions on the integration of crucial aspects such as technology, design, wellbeing and culture in workplace planning.
Demonstrating the creative strategies for their own β] Lab which is not just a design studio or a workspace —but an amalgamation of various work environments that function as a testing ground, he shared the design strategies that include technology integration, innovation and physical & cognitive wellbeing.
As architect Swaviman Das said, “One might say it’s a real-time workshop that brings together the art and science of design, essentially in permanent beta mode. But, it brings together art, science and design to envision the workplace of the future. This is where we test out new technology, experiment with different work cultures and work styles, and constantly learn, evolve and grow.”
Swaviman Das, Design Director, India, SpaceMatrix speaking at Havells “Spotlight” Series on April 22 briefed on the “Infusion of Technology in Design”. sharing his delight at the way the entire lab showcases the technology intervention to enhance workplace design and occupant experience conceded that the design community is now much more aware of technological advancements in various fields and are open to experimentations.
As per architect Das, the challenge is to keep pace with the fast changing technology up gradations over the design and execution period of a building.
The speakers concurred that, all stakeholder working together with open communication can be a harbinger of a new era of building designs in India that will embrace sustainability and wellness along with creativity and tech advancement.
