Federation of Indian Granite and Stone Industry (FIGSI) is an All India body having 1,300 members throughout the country serving for the benefit of Natural Stone Industry of India for the last 39 years.
FIGSI conducted a ‘Bhoomi Puja’ in the property owned by FIGSI at Mahindra World City Jaipur for the Centre of Stone Excellence at Hosur which will cater to the requirements of the West and North India The construction work will start after getting all the statutory requirements from the government departments. It is proposed to be completed within a span of 10-12 months.
“Vivekananda Global University (VGU) is our knowledge partners who are having a global University at Jaipur wherein there are more than 5,000 students and they will be running the entire program of imparting skill development training to the existing workforce, middle level management and senior level management. The skill development will be given also to the unemployed youths in the stone sector,” apprised Ishwinder Singh, President, FIGSI.
In this Centre for Excellence both at Jaipur and Hosur, the Federation will be establishing a Stone Museum of International standards wherein we will be displaying various varieties of Granites and other natural stones in different forms including monuments and artifacts from all over India.
