Jindal Steel Chhattisgarh Ltd has signed a major memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Chhattisgarh government to invest Rs 75,000 crore across multiple industrial projects. These include a 500 MW solar power plant, a 2400 MW thermal power plant, and a 7.5 MTPA steel plant, aimed at boosting manufacturing, infrastructure, and energy generation in the state.
The MoU ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and senior officials, with the CM highlighting that over 350 reforms have been implemented to accelerate the investment process. The state’s new industrial policy has attracted proposals from several major conglomerates across sectors.
Pradeep Tandon, Executive President of Jindal Group in Chhattisgarh, emphasized the initiative’s role in strengthening local employment and industrial infrastructure. He noted that the upcoming projects will create new development opportunities for the community and contribute significantly to the state’s economic growth.
