Allcargo Supply Chain, a division of Allcargo Logistics, has officially launched its state-of-the-art, tech-enabled Logistics Park in Panapakkam, near Chennai. Spanning 2.75 lakh sq. ft. of Grade-A warehousing space, the facility marks a major milestone in the company’s infrastructure-led growth strategy and southern footprint expansion.
Strategically positioned at the junction of NH 76 and SH 50, the Panapakkam Logistics Park ensures seamless connectivity to Red Hills, Chennai Port, Sri City, Sriperumbudur, and Oragadam. This location establishes it as a critical multi-modal hub for pan-India distribution. The facility supports Allcargo’s southern diversification strategy, with a sectoral focus led by approximately 50% automobile, complemented by e-commerce and consumer durables.

Designed to global specifications, the Panapakkam Logistics Park is a ready-to-go-live facility offering scalability for both raw material storage and finished goods distribution. It features:
- 32 docks with 16 dock levellers
- 30 truck bays capable of managing over 300 vehicles daily
- Throughput capacity of approximately 60,000 tonnes per month
- Centre height supporting G+8 racking for optimal storage
- 5,000 sq. ft. mezzanine floor with dedicated client office space
The facility is expected to generate employment for around 400 contractual workers monthly, with nearly 95% being blue-collar employees from the local region.
Sustainability and safety are core to the park’s design. Key features include:
- Solar-ready rooftop (10 KW/100K sq. ft.)
- LED lighting and solar-powered streetlights
- Rainwater harvesting and STP water recycling
- Stormwater drains engineered using 80 years of rainfall data
- Secure perimeter wall, fire hydrants, sprinkler systems, and dock levellers
This launch complements Allcargo’s existing southern facilities in Bengaluru and the upcoming Hyderabad site, while expanding its national network of modern, automated, and sustainable logistics parks in Farukhnagar (Gurugram), Nagpur, Guwahati, Bhiwandi (Mumbai), Indore, and Vijayawada.
