The Cement Manufacturers’ Association (CMA), the apex body for cement manufacturers in India, has announced the election of Mr. Parth Jindal, Managing Director of JSW Cement Limited, as its new President, and Dr. Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director of J K Cement Limited, as Vice President. The appointments were confirmed at CMA’s Annual General Meeting, with members unanimously endorsing the new leadership team.
Marking a first in CMA’s 60‑year history, the Association is now led by a President and Vice President from the younger generation. Their dynamic outlook and forward‑looking ideas are expected to strengthen CMA’s sustainability agenda and industry advocacy.
As the youngest President in CMA’s history, Mr. Parth Jindal will spearhead the Association’s policy agenda, engaging with policymakers, regulators, and stakeholders to advance sustainable manufacturing practices, energy transition (decarbonisation), and logistics optimisation. Expanding CMA’s membership base will also be a key priority. “The Cement Industry is balancing rapid infrastructure growth with sustainability imperatives. My focus will be on deepening collaboration with policymakers to ensure the industry remains globally competitive while contributing to India’s long‑term development goals,” Jindal said.
Dr. Raghavpat Singhania, a seasoned leader in the Grey and White Cement industry, brings extensive experience and a keen interest in new‑age building materials research. As Vice President, he will focus on strengthening industry advocacy and engagement. “The Indian Cement Industry stands at a critical juncture where sustainability, innovation, and competitiveness must progress in tandem. CMA is aligned with the Government of India’s vision to be Net Zero by 2070, and I look forward to advancing our policy agenda for action,” Singhania noted.
Together, Jindal and Singhania are expected to provide cohesive, future‑oriented leadership, combining fresh perspectives with strategic clarity. Their collaborative approach will augment CMA’s policy advocacy agenda while reinforcing the cement sector’s pivotal role in nation building, infrastructure development, and India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat.
