Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited (SEIL) has appointed A Omkar Prasad as Chief Financial Officer, following the resignation of Suparna Banerjee Bhattacharyya. The leadership change was approved by the board and will be formally notified to regulators as a Key Managerial Personnel update.
Prasad currently serves as Chief Accounting Officer for Greater India, overseeing Schneider Electric’s operations across India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. A Fellow Chartered Accountant and IIM Bangalore alumnus, he brings over two decades of experience in financial controllership, tax compliance, and risk management.
Throughout his tenure, Prasad has led digital transformation initiatives that delivered cost optimization, process simplification, and innovation across Schneider Electric’s South Asia operations. He is also known for building diverse, high-performing teams and aligning financial strategy with sustainability goals.
Bhattacharyya will remain in office until mid-September to ensure a smooth transition. Her departure marks the end of a significant chapter in SEIL’s financial leadership, while Prasad’s appointment signals the company’s continued focus on agility, governance, and operational excellence.
