JSW Paints has named Rohit Talwar as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), marking a strategic leadership addition as the company intensifies its brand-building efforts. Talwar recently stepped down as Vice President and Head of Marketing for India and South Asia at Castrol India, ending a 21-year tenure with the lubricant major.
Starting his career at Castrol in 2004 as a Management Trainee, Talwar rose through the ranks with roles including Sales Manager, Bikes Brand Manager, Cricket Sponsorship Activation Manager, and Global Brand Manager for Castrol VECTON. His international stint in Vietnam from 2019 saw him lead B2C and B2B marketing, delivering strong growth and expanding brand presence.
Talwar returned to India in late 2023 to head Castrol’s marketing operations, succeeding Jaya Jamrani. His resignation was formally accepted in June 2025, with his last working day in August. During his tenure, Talwar was recognized with the CMO Leadership Award at the Pitch CMO Summit and named among India’s Top 100 Marketers by BW Businessworld.
His move to JSW Paints comes as the brand gains momentum with campaigns like ‘Budget Kam, Warranty Mein Dum’. Industry observers view Talwar’s appointment as a strategic coup, citing his ability to blend tech-driven marketing with authentic storytelling.
