Private Island Parrot Cay in the Caribbean island of Turks & Caicos is known for its ultra-luxe real estate, five-star resorts and A-list clientele. So it comes as no surprise that actor Bruce Willis once owned this $37.5 million estate, dubbed The Residence that recently came to market.
This beachfront property is more like a private resort than a single-family residence, as there are three hardwood-clad homes with a total of 12 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms. There is a total of 18,000 square feet of interior space and another 18,000 square feet of exterior decking. Of the homes, there is a six-bedroom Main House that is at the heart of the estate and two other villas each with several bedrooms.
Willis bought the site in 2000 and constructed the home. It was also where he and his current wife, Emma Heming-Willis, got married in 2009. In 2019, the couple sold the home to Goosehead Insurance founders Mark and Robyn Jones for $27 million ($6 million lower than the asking price), according to WSJ. The Joneses created the children’s amenities, including a bunkhouse and game room, for their 16 grandchildren. Mark Jones told WSJ they are selling as the family is spending more time at their even larger vacation compound in Whitefish, Montana.
There are also four pools (each villa has one) so you can have your pick day by day. Each villa offers complete privacy but easy access to the Main House, which can be considered the gathering space for family and friends. Should the future buyer wish to expand, there is both northern and southern beach frontage that allows for expansion, whether for a gazebo or another home entirely.
The 7.4-acre property has a prime beachfront location with 1,100 feet of powdery, white-sand beach along swimmable, turquoise-blue water. It’s also located on a sunset-facing bay, so you’re sure never to miss a blazing orange sunset view. Along the house, the lush grounds feature verdant lawns, a beachfront shaded yoga pavilion and children’s playground with a pirate ship. There’s also a beach volleyball area and a fire pit. The property is flanked by tropical coconut, banana and papaya trees.
The home is managed by five-star resort COMO Parrot Cay and has a dedicated staff. The future buyer will have access to all of the resort’s luxury amenities, including restaurants, spa, pools, and more
