Mahindra Lifespaces has appointed Anshu Shukla as its new Chief Design Officer, marking a significant step in the company’s commitment to sustainable and future-ready urban development. With more than 20 years of experience across architecture, design management, and real estate development, Shukla has played a key role in shaping residential, commercial, and premium housing projects throughout India.
A graduate of Mumbai University with a Bachelor of Architecture and a postgraduate degree in Construction Management from NICMAR, she is recognised for her ability to align design excellence with business outcomes. Her work is particularly noted in high-density urban development, where she champions sustainability, design efficiency, and cost-conscious innovation.
At Mahindra Lifespaces, she will lead a multidisciplinary design team and work closely with external consultants to ensure projects are in sync with the organisation’s long-term vision. Shukla has a track record of institutionalising design processes, embedding sustainability across development stages, and mentoring the next generation of architects and designers.
An IGBC Accredited Professional and a member of the Indian Institute of Architects, she is also active in design leadership forums and is a vocal advocate for inclusive and resilient built environments. Outside the boardroom, Shukla finds inspiration through storytelling, travel, and exploring urban cultures—bringing a rich and creative lens to her professional role.
