Digital workplace platforms are increasingly becoming an important layer of the modern office, and BGRE is betting on that shift with its tenant engagement app, Converge, which has crossed 200,000 downloads across India.
The milestone represents around 70% of BGRE’s tenant employee user base and comes as companies and workplace operators increasingly look beyond physical infrastructure to improve how employees access services, amenities and experiences within office campuses.
Converge, positioned by BGRE as India’s first integrated, one-stop digital platform for workplace services, currently has a potential employee user base of more than 285,000, with over 35,000 registered users. Across fully adopted campuses, monthly active engagement has reached as high as 75%.
The platform brings multiple workplace functions onto a single mobile-first interface. Employees can use it to order food, book sports and recreational facilities, manage visitor access, enter buildings using their mobile phones and participate in campus events.
The mobile-based access feature is also aimed at reducing dependence on RFID cards, while supporting BGRE’s efforts to lower plastic usage across its campuses.
“Converge reflects our commitment to building technology-first workplace ecosystems that go beyond physical infrastructure. By bringing together services, amenities and community engagement into a single, intuitive platform, we are simplifying everyday experiences for our tenants while enabling more connected workplaces,” said Charu Thapar, Executive Vice President, Head of Operations and CRM, BGRE India.
Thapar said BGRE plans to add further capabilities, including personalised in-app experiences, smartwatch-based building access and exclusive tenant offers, promotions and priority booking for events.
The platform’s traction is also visible in its transaction activity. Converge currently facilitates food ordering across more than 100 restaurant partners, with monthly deliveries exceeding 3,000 orders. Combining food orders with other in-app purchases, the platform has processed more than ₹17 crore in annual transactions.
For workplace operators, such integrations represent a shift from treating technology as a back-end facility management tool to using it as an everyday interface between employees and the physical campus.
Aryoman Langrana, Vice President – Transformation and Product Strategy, Cowrks, said the platform was designed to bring workplace services, amenities, access and engagement into a single digital experience.
“As workplace expectations continue to evolve, our focus remains on leveraging technology to create more connected, efficient, and experience-led environments for our tenant communities,” Langrana said.
Beyond employee-facing services, Converge is also being used as part of BGRE’s wider campus operating infrastructure. The company said the platform maintains system uptime of approximately 99.99%, supporting its use across a large and diverse tenant base.
The broader push comes at a time when workplace strategies are increasingly focused on employee experience, particularly as companies seek to make physical offices more attractive and functional amid changing patterns of work.
For BGRE, the next phase of Converge will therefore be less about simply adding another workplace app and more about deepening its role as the digital layer connecting employees with the campus around them.
With further investments planned in personalisation, wearable access and tenant-focused offers, BGRE is positioning Converge as a central part of its strategy to build experience-led workplaces for Indian and global enterprises.
