The "Realty+ Master Class presents Signify India Light Festival" held on Sept 19 at Taj Westend, Bengaluru offered a unique and captivating experience to more than 500 audience of real estate, building & construction sector.
The evening featured in-depth discussions on the synergy between design and technology in modern workplaces and presentation of some innovative lighting products by Signify.
The power packed panel discussion on topic “Creative Designs For Inspiring Workplaces” was moderated by Arnab Ghosh, Managing Director, Corporate Fit outs, Colliers India and the panellists were, Fancy George, CEO - Thomas Associates Workplace Design, Girija M Rangaswamy, Head Of Facilities – India, Texas Instruments, Karthik Sampath, Assistant Vice President & Group Head, Interior Real Estate, Brigade Group, Radhika Shenoy, Head - Corporate Real Estate & Services, IDFC FIRST Bank, Zainab Mukadam, Senior Director – PDS, Head -- Design and Workplace, India Cushman & Wakefield. The speakers emphasised on designing with purpose as the key approach towards productive workplaces. According to them, key factors reshaping workplace designs were: work culture shifts, tech advancements, Gen Z expectations, and soaring real estate costs.
The next discussion on “Technology & Sustainability Reshaping Offices” was led by Meenakshi Sharma, Sr. Vice President, Design Services, Vestian Global Workplace Services Pvt. Ltd. And the eminent speakers were Ashish Rakheja, Managing Partner, AEON Consultants, Past Vice President ASHRAE, Fellow ASHRAE, Fellow ISHRAE, Senior Fellow IGBC, Harshita Shetty, Managing Director, Nulty India, Jaime Daza, Design Director Gensler, Mamatha G., Associate Director, MEP & Technology, Space Matrix Design Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Roop Chanda, Director – Design & Projects, RSP Design Consultants (India) Pvt Ltd, and Sudharsan JP - Founder & Partner - Oculus Design Studio. The experts deliberated on technology and sustainable practices in offices elaborating on technological innovation in office design, sustainability challenges and future trends. They were unanimous that creating a balance between technology and sustainable practices is no more a choice but mandatory for our workplaces.
