The conclave concluded with a talk by Sapna Srivastava Editor Realty+ with Real Estate Gurus Amit Goenka, MD & CEO, Nisus Finance Services Co Limited and Chaitanya Seth, Partner, Consulting – Real Estate, EY India on their inspiring success stories. The inspiring leaders shared from what fascinates them about real estate and criticism about their profession to a straight from heart message to the developers and young aspiring individuals in real estate.
The starry beginning of the Realty+ Excellence Awards evening was an Exclusive Conversation on Let's Talk Real Estate: Sentiments & Confidence among Gulam Zia, Executive Director Valuation & Advisory, Retail Hospitality, Knight Frank India Pvt Ltd, Ambar Maheshwari, CEO, Indiabulls Investment Management Limited, Girish Singhi, Co-Chief Investment Officer, Welspun One, Charu Thappar, Executive Director- Property & Asset Management, AsiaPacific, Head - Strategy, Platform & Emerging Markets, JLL and Sunil Rohokale, MD & CEO, ASK Group. The speakers emphasised on how sentiments play a major role in real estate and not just the locations, price and other amenities of a project as also the bright future of the sector, albeit not forgetting to be cautious.
An inspiring Keynote Address by Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Chairman – Hiranandani and NAREDCO took the event to the net level, while the full packed audience listened his words of wisdom. He spoke about how India has grown in terms of infrastructure. He expressed, ten years ago, India aimed to build 5 km of national highway, and today India has surpassed that goal with 35 km. The future target is an ambitious 45 km. Additionally, the development of metro lines has revolutionized Mumbai's micro market. “To further progress, there is a need to adopt a radical shift in rental housing policies, a change the sector has been advocating for with the government. Let's work together to make India's infrastructure among the best in the world,” was his message.
Another inspirational Keynote Address by legendry R. C. Sinha, I.A.S. (Retd.), Ex. Addl. Chief Secretary, Govt. of Maharashtra left the audience asking for more. He pressed on the need to shift from metro to non-metro cities. He emphasized that a political vision is essential for any development, and it requires national support from both the government and other sectors like real estate, particularly for emerging cities. He stressed that bureaucrats and officers leading these new city projects should be given the autonomy to execute their tasks without interference, allowing them the freedom to succeed. His closing remark fos to build new 20-30 Mumbai’s to make India a developed country.
