The event held at the Courtyard by Mariott, Ahmedabad on June 28, 2024 had the realty leaders from Gujarat sharing their insightful views at the conclave comprising of topics delving into the past, present and future state of Gujarat’s real estate. The evening marked the achievements of the professionals of Gujarat real estate and building industry.
The industry partner for the event was CREDAI Ahmedabad GIHED. MEANINGUL DISCUSSIONS
The conclave of the day began with the discussion on the topic of Deciphering Gujarat’s Residential Realities. The session was moderated by Ravin Bhojani, A&T Head, Ahmedabad, CBRE India and the eminent speaker were Dhruv Patel, President, CREDAI Ahmedabad GIHED, Kamal Singal, Managing Director & CEO, Arvind SmartSpaces Limited, Paras Pandit, CMD, Sheetal Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, Rocky Israni, Managing Director - India Investments, Pacifica Companies, Rohan Shah, Co-Founder, Realatte.
The speakers touched upon the fact that residential real estate in Gujarat although had gone into a decline mode, the average performance of the sector has been remarkable over the years with positive sentiments in the market. It is the affordability that has become the recent challenge.
The second session for the day was Buoyant Commercial Real Estate of Gujarat. The session was led by Jigar Mota, Director - Head of Transactions, Cushman & Wakefield – Gujarat and speakers joining the session were Anmol Patel, Promoter, Ganesh Housing Limited, Himanshu Sharma, Managing Director, Head - Leasing & Business Development, Tishmen & Speyer, Umesh Uttamchandani, Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer, DevX, Viren Mehta, Founder & CEO, WiseVision Realty Pvt. Ltd, Yash Shah, Founder & Director, The Address. The discussion deliberated on the scope of commercial real estate in Gujarat, how land has been playing a vital role in terms of major players investing in to the commercial secto. The speakers concurred that Gujarat will have to vie with other cities to attract IT and ITeS sector businesses.
The session exploring Gujarat’s Industrial Parks Growth Story was chaired by Rumit Parikh, Director - Occupier Strategy and Solutions Industrial & Logistics and Retail, Knight Frank India Pvt Ltd and joining him were Anshul Shah, Director, Ducon Consultants Pvt Ltd, Bakir Gandhi, CMD, Crystal Group, Kartik Jalan, Founder & CEO, Indicold, Nirav Kothary, Director, Godwitt Construction Pvt Ltd.
The panellists were very bullish on the industrial sector development in the state and explained that unlike e-commerce companies being biggest occupiers till now, it is the manufacturing companies that have been leasing most of the industrial parks in the recent years.
The next panel on Gujarat’s Infrastructure Boom & Real Estate was moderated by Paresh Sharma, Former Chief Town Planner Government Of Gujarat and expert speakers were Atman Desai, Partner, Infrastructure and Project, Khaitan & Co, Parth Patel, Managing Director, Kavisha Group, Sameer Sinha, Founder & MD, Savvy Group, Suresh Patel, Director - Gujarat State Road Development Corporation, President NAREDCO – Gujarat and Dr. Vatsal Patel, Founder - Setu Infrastructure, and President, Gujarat Institute of Civil Engineers and Architects (GICEA). Speaking about the most upcoming infrastructure developments in the state, the speakers elaborated on how the major areas in the state with infrastructure boost are playing a vital role in offering better opportunities for real estate growth in the state to the developers.
The Final Discussion on Unlocking Gift City Real Estate Potential was led by Ravin Bhojani, A&T Head, Ahmedabad, CBRE India and he was joined by Amit Jaitly, Deputy Managing Director, Mid India, Project Management, Colliers India, Chitrak Shah, Co-Founder & MD, Shivalik Group, Chairman CREDAI Ahmedabad, Rutul Shah, Co-Founder & Partner, Aurtus Consulting And SK Patel, Founder, Kavyaratna Group. The experts shared their views on Gift city’s capacity to deliver exceptional growth in real estate in future with its ease of doing business. It only lacked social infrastructure, which is just a matter of time.
The Conclave concluded on an informal note with the Realty+ Real Talk – Inspiring Success Stories by Sapna Srivastava, Editor, Realty+ in a tête-à-tête with Sumit Suri ,Investments, Altern Capital, Neel Thakkar, Managing Director, Dharmadev Infrastructure Pvt Ltd And Tanuj Gupta, Founder & CEO, Big Estate. They shared their honest views on their own journey and experiences and their accomplishments.
