The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) announced the results of the MHADA Lottery 2025 on October 11, offering 5,354 affordable homes and 77 residential plots under various housing schemes of its Konkan Housing and Area Development Board. The results were declared by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who also heads the Housing Ministry.
This year, MHADA received an overwhelming response, with 1,84,994 applications, of which 1,58,424 applicants paid the earnest deposit, as per a HT report. The lottery covered a wide range of housing options across Thane city and district, Vasai in Palghar, while the plots were located in Oros (Sindhudurg) and Kulgaon–Badlapur.
At the announcement event, Eknath Shinde said that the Mahayuti government is committed to fulfilling Bal Thackeray’s dream of providing housing for every Mumbaikar, especially the poor and working-class families. He added that the government is working on large-scale housing projects, with 30 to 35 lakh new affordable homes planned over the next five years, at a total cost of around Rs. 50 lakh crore.
Categories in the Lottery
The MHADA lottery covers five categories of housing schemes:
- 20% Comprehensive Housing Scheme: 565 flats
- 15% Integrated City Housing Scheme: 3,002 flats
- Konkan Board and Scattered Flats: 1,746 units
- 50% Affordable Housing Scheme: 41 flats
- Residential Plots: 77 plots
Speaking at the event, Shinde said, “The Mahayuti government in the state was committed to fulfilling late Bal Thackeray's dream of housing for every Mumbaikar, especially the poor and working class. This dream is being realised through large-scale housing initiatives.”
Shinde also highlighted plans for 30 to 35 lakh new affordable homes over the next five years, with an estimated investment of ?50 lakh crore, underlining the government’s commitment to tackling the city’s housing shortage.
Live Screening and Result Notifications
MHADA streamed the lottery results live on its YouTube and Facebook pages, allowing applicants to watch the draw in real time. The list of successful applicants will be available on MHADA’s official website — https://housing.mhada.gov.in — after 6 PM on October 11.
Applicants who are selected will also get an SMS notification on their registered mobile numbers confirming their allotment.
This year’s lottery is another major step in MHADA’s mission to make affordable housing accessible for the people of Maharashtra, especially for low- and middle-income families.
