Unauthorised colonies demolished in Faridabad

On Wednesday, seven unauthorised colonies under construction over an area of about 18 acres in Faridabad's Madalpur and Sarurpur villages have been demolished by the city's planning department. The Enforcement and Vigilance Wing of Haryana Town and Country Planning Department, Faridabad demolished offices of two property dealers, eight commercial and four residential buildings and about 120 boundary walls under the Urban Area and Controlled Areas Act. The colonies were being developed on Madalpur-Kureshipur road and Sarur-Madalpur road, Naresh Kumar, District Town Planner, Enforcement said. Road network and 15 electricity poles were uprooted with the help of district administration in presence of huge police force.
