The fourth edition of Realty+ Women Icon Conclave 2024, the virtual series held on May 31 had the women professionals from various realms of varied industries talk about the role of women in the corporate world, the outlook for real estate and the issue of empowering women for financial inclusivity.
The discussion Diversity Dialogue: Role Of Leadership In Driving Change was moderated by Binitha Dalal, Founder & Managing Partner at Mt. K Kapital and Head of Fundraising, Rustomjee Group. Joining her in the discussion were Abha Singh, Advocate, Social Activist and Former Bureaucrat, Amrita V Chowdhury, Co-Founder & CEO, GAIA, Dr. Anar Mehta, Social Activist, Entrepreneur & Global Ambassador - MSME StartUps, Founder - Srishti Bharat Foundation, Radha Ramanujam, Chief Financial Officer -UDS Group and architect Urmila Rajadhyaksha, Honorary President, Indian Society of Landscape Architects. They spoke of their own journey in the fields of technology, finance, legal and government and shared how they had empowered women in their organizatuons and the various initiatives led y them.
The session Think Tank: Indian Real Estate Strength & Weaknesses was chaired by Charu Thappar, ED - Property & Asset Management, APAC, Head - Strategy, Platform & Emerging Markets India, Indonesia, Thailand & Philippines, JLL and experts joining in the discussion were Dr. Ananta S Raghuvanshi, Founder and President, NAREDCO Mahi, Yasha Saraf, Co-Founder, ArisUniterm, Swathy Sivaraman, CEO and Principal Architect, StoreyBoard Design, Sheetal Vanwari, Head of Marketing, Awfis and Dr Ananya Gandotra, SVP Design and Operations, Mogra Realty and Shaifali Singh, Vice President, DivyaSree. The panel deliberated on the challenges and opportunities in the real estate sector and also the role of women leaders in bringing about a positive change in the industry by bringing to the table empathy, hustle, multitasking, authenticity, quality -balance, focus and integrity.
The final conversation Emerging Stars: Generating Upside From New Asset Classes was led by Fancy George, CEO, Thomas Associates Workplace Design. Other women leaders who joined were Hina Kamra - Managing Director, Neo Wealth Management, Shivani Karia Jhaveri, Co-Founder & CMO, Blox, Tithi Tewari, CoFounder & MD, Trezi, Shruti Agrawal, - Assistant Vice President, Tata Realty & Infrastructure Ltd, Niharika Verma, Senior Vice President ? Operations (Pune, ROM & Goa) Knight Frank (India) Pvt. Ltd. They shared their bullish outlook for the real estate sector with many emerging asset classes and models of operation as also how women professionals are finding their own space in this burgeoning sector.
