Realty Plus Interior & Exterior (INEX) Awards, 2018

Organized by Realty Plus, the “Interior & Exterior Awards (INEX), 2018” felicitated the excellence in building products & construction material sector on January 31 in Mumbai. The Realty Plus Interior & Exterior Awards (INEX), 2018 concluded on a grand note amidst the gathering of more than 250 delegates. The attendees included the renowned architects, developers, property consultants and the Founders & CEOs of Indian & international reputed building products companies. Jimmy Mistry, Chairman & Managing Director, Della Group and Amit Wadhwani, Managing Director, Sai Estate Consultants. The thoughts shared by the eminent speakers found resonance with the audience and were much appreciated. Much enjoyed by the audience was the impromptu questioning by Jimmy Mistry of his fellow professionals on the whether the Indian designers were given the due recognition in the country.   The theme of the plenary session of the evening was “Design & Marketability – An Irresolute Relationship”. The discussion moderated by Mona Jalota, Director – International & NRI – Residential Services – Colliers International comprised eminent panellists - Architect Premnath, Principal Architect- Prem Nath and Associates Ar. Reza Kabul, Founder, ARK Reza Kabul Architects, Ashish Shah – COO, Radius Developers; Ar. Shekhar Patki, Principal Architect, PG Patki Architects; Ar. Kamal Malik, Founder, Malik Architecture; Amar Tendulkar, President – Planning & Design, Omkar Realtors & Developers, Amit Wadhwani, MD Sai Estate Consultants and  Ar. Zubin Zainuddin, Co-Founder & Partner ZZ Architects. The panellists put forward their views on role of an architect in a project development. The speakers agreed that the combination of synergy of a developer and the designer were a must to achieve a marketable project. Also discussed was the need of foreign design professionals in India due to the lack of global exposure among Indian design firms, though their name associated with a project was not a deciding factor for the buyer.  All agreed that the Indian architects were apt for project planning & design as they understood the Indian way of living. The homebuyer too only wants a quality and value for money product. They also deliberated on the new design trends and changing buyer’s preferences & buying patterns.   The Moment of Recognition The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Scroll of Honour”, felicitation. The recipients were Ar. Reza Kabul, ARK Reza Kabul Architects, Ar. Shekhar Patki, PG Patki Architects, Ar. Kamal Malik, Malik Architecture, Ar.
