Support, resilience and the ability to adapt have shaped the S leadership journey of Binitha Dalal. She credits her parents, family and mentors, including Boman Irani, Chandresh Mehta and Percy Chowdhry, for giving her the foundation to grow. Two defining moments, the global financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, further transformed her perspective, reinforcing how deeply finance influences businesses and how a home remains one's greatest sense of security during uncertain times. "As long as you bring value to the table and stay committed to your work, everything else eventually falls into place and the noise fades away," she says. While she acknowledges that gender equality has come a long way, she believes the journey is far from complete until equal opportunity becomes the norm rather than the exception. In today's boardrooms, she sees emotional intelligence as an increasingly valuable leadership trait. "Women are natural multitaskers with a high emotional quotient. Boardrooms today are increasingly driven by EQ rather than just IQ," she says. The future, she believes, belongs to emerging asset classes. Realty While residential and commercial real estate will remain strong, Binitha sees data centres and hospitality driving the next wave of demand and creating entirely new markets.
