TKIL Industries’ Manufacturing Plant Achieves Five-Star Grading In OHS Audit

TKIL Industries Pvt. Ltd. (formerly known as thyssenkrupp Industries India Pvt. Ltd.), a leading player in industrial engineering and manufacturing is proud to announce that its Pimpri Manufacturing Works plant has achieved a Five-Star grading in the Occupational Health and Safety Audit conducted by the British Safety Council. The manufacturing plant caters to a wide range of equipment for core industries such as mining, cement, power generation, and sugar. It has a ‘State of the Art’, machine shop and excellent fabrication facilities aided by testing equipment of international standards that follows the highest standards of safety, productivity and quality.

The company’s Pimpri Manufacturing Plant in Pune underwent a comprehensive, quantified and robust evaluation of its occupational health and safety policies, processes and practices. The audit process included documentation review, interviews with senior management, employees and other key stakeholders, together with sampling of operational activities.

The audit measured performance against key health and safety management best practice indicators and a detailed review of all component elements. After a rigorous evaluation, TKIL Industries was awarded a five-star grading following the audit which is reflective of a best practice organisation. Mike Robinson, CEO British Safety Council, said: “The award of a five-star grading following our occupational best practice Health and Safety Audit is an outstanding achievement and is reflective of a proactive organisation which is committed to continual improvement in its health and safety arrangements and managing risks to workers’ health, safety and wellbeing.”
