Snehil Gautam, Chief Growth & Marketing Officer at Housing.com, PropTiger.com, and Makaan.com, has announced his departure from REA India, closing a defining chapter in Indian proptech. From building the business ground-up to crossing Rs700 crore in annual revenue, Gautam’s journey has been marked by scale, strategy, and storytelling.
He credits the success to a culture of camaraderie and collaboration, naming Dhruv Agarwala, Amit Masaldan, Vikas Wadhawan, Sangeet Aggarwal, Vipin Singh, Rohit Hasteer, and REA Group’s Owen Wilson among those who shaped the journey. “Every challenge felt like an opportunity,” Gautam shared, reflecting on the team’s creativity and resilience.
As he transitions out, Gautam plans to pause, reflect, and explore ideas close to his heart—spanning music, cricket, art, history, and entrepreneurship. “India is brimming with opportunities,” he noted, signaling intent to contribute meaningfully in what he calls a golden period of innovation.
His exit marks a moment of reflection for the sector, as Housing.com prepares for its next phase and Gautam begins a new chapter rooted in passion, purpose, and possibility.
