In its ongoing pursuit to drive industrial and economic growth of Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has accelerated the completion of projects at the Medical Device Park, which is coming up in Sector-28 of Greater Noida.
As per CM Yogi's intention, a detailed project plan was formulated for the development of the Medical Device Park, and its implementation has been initiated by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). Currently, YEIDA is focusing on expediting completion of 9 major construction works at the park.
It is noteworthy that the progress of 6 of these projects is satisfactory, while the tender and approval process for 2 projects is underway. The ninth project could not start due to the unavailability of land, so efforts are being made in this direction. The key construction projects showing satisfactory progress include Lab Mechatronics, Electronic Assembly Facility, Administrative Office Block, Export-Promotion Incubation and Excellence Skill Development Incubation Center.
According to the available data till the month of August, the process of 3D design and rapid prototyping in the Common Tooling Room and Tooling Lab Mechatronics began on March 9, 2023. After that, the target was set to achieve 63 percent of financial and physical targets this year. More than 38 percent of the goals have been achieved, and progress towards goal attainment is increasing rapidly.
Additionally, the construction process of the Electronic Assembly Facility started on March 4, 2023, and 47 percent of 64 percent target has been achieved already. completion. Similarly, there has been significant progress in the construction of Common Office Showrooms and Common Office Complex in recent months after the initial delays.
Moreover, the goals related to internet and computer infrastructure have been achieved by more than 24 percent. The construction works of the Export Promotion Incubation and Excellence Skill Development Incubation Center have achieved financial and physical targets by 29 percent. The approval process for the allocation of the Bio-testing Facility has been expedited, while the tender approval process is ongoing for the construction and development of Common IT Facilities.
YEIDA has initiated a Commercial Hotel Plots Scheme near the prime location of Jewar Airport in Greater Noida to promote hotel construction. Through this scheme, the allocation of land for the construction of premium, luxury, and budget hotels will be streamlined.
