Adopt ‘RERA’ to bring transparency- Dr Prabhu
Construction sector is the second largest industry which creates maximum employment. It also contributes to 8-9% to the country's total GDP. The buyers have become more awakened and wish to spend their money wisely without getting fooled in bad projects. Hence, the developers should adopt transparency in their work by strictly following the RERA norms, said Maha RERA Secretary Dr VasantPrabhu. He was speaking at the RERA compliances workshop organized by CREDAI Maharashtra for the benefits of their realtor members. Present on the occasion were ShantilalKataria, President CREDAI Pune Metro, Shrikantparanjape, President CREDAI Pune Metro, Suhas Merchant President, CREDAI Maharashtra State advisory council, Akhil Agarwal, CREDAI MahaRERA committee convenor, AartiHarbhajanka, DyaneshwarHadtare, RanjitNaiknavre, F D Jadhav and realtors from across the state. Dr Prabhu said, many laws come but poor implementation mar its success. To register the project under RERA, there is no need to visit any office as everything is done online. The realtors can use MahaRERA logo to increase the credibility of their projects towards buyers. After the registration is done, every three months the complete details pertaining to work completed till date, corrections done, if any, number of inquiries & bookings from buyers etc has to be filled. This helps the buyers to get complete information about their project online. This process eliminates any misconceptions created between customers & developers. Even buyers can not complain at any point of time as all the information is provided beforehand. Hence, RERA law should not be considered as burden but an opportunity to ease the transactions between seller & buyer. AartiHarbhajanka explained the RERA registration process. She cleared queries regarding technical issues faced during registration. Those who could not attend the workshop, esp. members from remote places like Bhandara, Parbhani, Chandrapur, Ratnagiri, Malvan, etc and across the state logged in to the LIVE session on facebook page of CREDAI Pune Metro during 2pm to 5pm. All the questions were answered by DrPrabhu& other experts.
